There are no full-time positions available at this time.

The department only accepts applications for open positions.  If you would like to apply please complete the following form and return to the police department (c/o) Capt. T. H. DeMont.

Requirements for Police Officer

  • U.S. Citizen

  • At least 21 years of age

  • 30 Hrs. of college OR 2 yrs. law enforcement experience OR 3 yrs. active duty military experience

  • Pass written examination

  • Meet physical requirements

  • Never convicted of Felony

  • MORE

Requirements for Communications Officer

  •  U.S. Citizen

  • 18 years of age

  • High School diploma or equivalency

  • No prior convictions in accordance with TCLEOSE requirements

Hiring Process

If considered for employment, you will be asked to complete the following:

  • Preliminary Application

  • Background Investigation

  • Written Examination

  • Physical agility tests

  • Drug Screen

  • Medical Screen

  • Oral Review Board
